Designation of Origin Toro

This DO Toro matured red wine is made from grapes of the Toro red wine variety that come from selected matured strains that regulate production supported by natural fertilisers and targeted pruning, thus achieving a fresher, lighter and fruitier organic wine. The wine was matured for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, which provides a natural and fresh irresistible touch.

The vineyard

This wine is the result of organic farming carried out at our vineyards in Valdefinjas, located in the west end of the Designation of Origin Toro. Its landscape, with limestone highlights between sandy dells, provides these wines with a genuine freshness.

Tasting

In the visual phase, this wine reveals a layer of very dark cardinal colour with bright bluish notes.

The nose shows an intense and expressive wine that offers fresh red fruit aromas of black fruits, such as plum, cherry, blackberry and strawberry, as well as elegant tertiary aromas derived from its maturation in oak, such as coffee, spices, lactones and liquorice stick.

In the mouth it is a highly expressive wine with moderate acidity that provides freshness. Similar aromas persist on the nose, repeating sensations of fresh fruit, coffee, liquorice, wood and roasted coffee.

Cyan Crianza Red Wine is the perfect pairing for soupy dishes, red and white meats with intense flavour, game stews, beans, cured cheese, grilled vegetables, barbecues, cured meats and smoked food.
