Designation of Origin Cigales

Carlos Moro FincaValdehierro is a red wine of the Tempranillo variety from the Designation of Origin Cigales that comes from centenary vineyards in the Valdehierro Estate located in Cubillas de Santa Marta (Valladolid). It is a 95-year-old goblet-trained vineyard that self-controls its production. The estate soil has a loamy texture with pebbles, siliceous and limestone agglomerate, in addition to abundant alluvial deposits.

During winemaking, a triple grape selection is made: first, in the field, then, cluster by cluster and, finally, berry by berry.

The wine

In the mouth this wine is intense, dense, very elegant and velvety, repeating the complexity of aromas that perceived on the nose: red fruit, coffee, liquorice and roasted coffee.

This clean and bright red wine, which has a very high cardinal tone with strong purplish tones, has an intense layer. The nose, which is mature, intense and very elegant, proffers ripe black and red fruit aromas within the range of cherry, sour cherry and fresh blackberry, as well as tertiary aromas derived from its 16-month maturation in new barrels, highlighting notes of liquorice, coffee, vanilla, clove and an elegant mineral touch of graphite.

Pairing

It is a perfect wine to accompany any type of meat, barbecue, casserole, or grilled red meats.
